MJC provides HVAC modifications to OEM’s standard factory equipment. When standard factory units do not provide the options and items needed for the job or specifications, MJC can help provide modification solutions. MJC’s most common modifications include:
1. Hot Gas Reheat (HGRH)– Packaged RTUs and Split Systems
2. Rawal APR Valve – Packaged RTUs and Split Systems
3. Double Wall Construction – Packaged RTUs & Split Systems
4. Indirect & Direct Fired Heater Installation – Air Handlers
5. NEMA3R & NEMA4 Electrical Panel – Chillers
MJC Hot Gas Reheat (HGRH)
MJC provide on/off and modulating Hot Gas Reheat on packaged RTUs and Split Systems. Heat Pump units are included!
Hot Gas Reheat Benefits
1. MJC Provides a non-condensing reheat design
2. The MJC Reheat design sends refrigerant through the reheat coil to reheat the leaving air from the evaporator coil.
3. HGRH sends refrigerant back to the condenser coil to fully condense into a subcooled liquid
4. The MJC reheat design keeps the unit running longer which allows the evaporator coil to pull more moisture out of the space
5. Non-condensing Hot Gas Reheat is a reliable reheat solution
6. Non-condensing Hot Gas Reheat allows for better pard load operation to prevent short cycling
7. MJC Hot Gas Reheat saves energy and protects against mold in the space
Rawal APR
MJC provides the Rawal APR valve on packaged RTUs and Split Systems.
MJC is an approved factory installer of the APR Rawal Valve (Approved by Rawal).
Rawal APR Valve Benefits
1. To maximize reheat performance, MJC recommends HGRH with the APR Rawal Valve. Both provided and installed by MJC.
2. Rawal Valves lower the capacity of the evaporator coil to allow for longer unit run time. As a result, this provides better humidity control for the space. In conjunction with HGRH, the rawal valve can produce close to neutral air conditions.
3. The APR valve protects the compressor from potential liquid flood back by bypassing hot gas to the suction.
4. The APR valve reduces compressor cycling on oversized systems, reducing wear and tear on the system compressors.
5. The APR valve prevents coil icing or liquid slugging, even if a filter is clogged or a fan is malfunctioning.
