NEC hazardous environment classifications covered:

  • Class I, Division 2, Groups C and D
  • Class II, Division 2, Groups E, F and G

Standard Construction

  • Existing fan replaced with one with an aluminum wheel and aluminum inlet cone
  • Motor replaced with explosion-proof rated motor
  • Fan assembly grounded
  • New sheaves and belts provided as necessary
  • New flex connection fabricated for fan discharge

Optional Items

  • Bearings encapsulated. Grease lines run through encapsulators
  • Air purge device to supply clean air to bearing encapsulators
  • Externally mounted fan motor
